Case Study

What was the challenge?

To support a Scandinavian nation with test and integration of their Link 16 Ground System and Air Defence Command and Control (C2) programme.

What was the solution?

A team of specialists applied operational experience, STANAG / MIL-STD expertise and platform knowledge to support the Link 16 Ground System and C2 programme from initial concept to in-service capability. As part of this work they developed the Integrated Test, Evaluation and Acceptance Plan (ITEAP), supported all aspects of testing including witnessing all  integration and test phases and were instrumental in driving the Verification and Validation strategy including the capture of Problem Reports. The team were adept at authoring, reviewing and prioritising Software Change Requests (SCRs)/System Problem Reports (SPRs) and subsequently updating the Configuration Management Plans to accurately reflect the project activity required for TDL platforms. The team managed the Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings from a System of Systems perspective, which included working with a number of national system stakeholders to capture and manage problems to assist in informing acquisition, sustainment and testing actions. Work also included reviewing and witnessing testing and monitoring and advising action concerning the open requirements at the acceptance phase.

What was the outcome?

The capability is now operational and in-service
